When I first joined talent time at the age of 11 I had very little training in dance and singing. It had always been a passion of mine but I knew that after seeing the Talent Time summer show 'Diva' it was exactly what I wanted to do and learn. After only a year my technique and performance had improved dramatically and I got given the chance to take part in a Grease that was performed in Her Majesty's Theatre. This really pushed me as I got to work with older dancers who were far better than me but who helped me improve and pickup the steps easily. Throughout the years I have played the parts of Veruca Salt( Charlie and the chocolate factory), Annie in Annie (my dream role!), June (Gypsy), Iris (Fame), Penny (Hairspray) and various other lead and exiting dance parts. Each show has taught me so much about the industry and my own strengths and weaknesses and by doing such a vast variety of shows over the years, I was lucky enough to get the chance to perform in many different theatres and work with many different top class choreographers and vocal coaches. I am now a full time student at Arts Educational, the UK's leading Performing Arts college. I made some amazing friends from being at TT and will hold on to many great memories for a lifetime.

I first started Talent Time six years ago and was under confident and very shy. Throughout the years Stuart and Nicky have helped me so much, my voice has improved as well as my dancing and acting. Thinking back the six years ago I would never of thought I would of gotten the opportunity to have performed at Sadlers Wells and Her Majesty's and also to experience so many types of shows that I've performed in. I think of everyone at Talent Time like my family, and I would never ever dream about leaving any time soon.

Hard work, energy exhaustion, body aching , sweat drenching, are a few things a Talent Time boot camp produces. A* performers is what it does best..... Confidence building, being pushed to your undiscovered ability to perfect you as a performer, directored to high standards to develop your talent along with constructive criticism, which also helps you beyond the dance studio wall, also becoming useful in life, is something Talent Time excells at. Boot Camp is exactly what it says on the can - no short cuts. It's fun, challenging, rewarding with the sense of self achievement and the buzz you achieved on show night is a feeling that is hard to come down from. You be asking yourself 'What hard work?'
Where some theatre schools take a year to put on a show, Talent Time do this with in a quarter of that time. This is thanks to top teachers from the industry that visit, and the vision the director has for West End standard shows you take part in. For any budding performer out there, Talent Time is a foundation to build their career on, a must on their stage C.V and the next best thing to actually being on the West End. With its Midas touch, you come out walking that bit taller, your talent polished and prepared for every single auditon you go for. Its also more than a just a theatre school, its a solid jazz hands loving, family unit that supports each and every star in the making, that comes through its door. Go on. Audition. You wont regret it!

The first show I did with Talent Time was Remember My Name (Summer 2010), where I was a dancer, which gave me an opportunity to work on my dance skills with a choreographer from “Saturday Night Fever”. The second show I did with the Boot Camp was Hairspray (December 2010), where I played the part of Penny Pingleton. This show was completely different to the first show I did - it was a full scale musical, so all aspects of musical theatre were worked on and the dancing was choreographed by two former cast members from the West End show. Hairspray was hard work because even though you have to think of yourself and know what you’re doing, you also learn that as a cast you have to work together as a team to create a great show. TT has given me an opportunity to develop my musical theatre skills and has given me a real insight into the business. Working with people who have performed in the West End has significantly improved my performance, and I realise how much hard work and dedication you need to make it in the business. It has given me a lot more confidence in my performance ability and has made me more determined to make a career in musical theatre.

After 9 years of sweat, hard work and millions of bruises, I still cannot wait for my next class at Talent Time. Not only have they helped me grow as a performer, but as a person. Never did I think I’d get the chance to perform in the West End at the age of 10, and now that I have, I’m even more determined to be on that West End stage night after night! Not only have I improved and become a confident dancer, but also as an actor and singer. Every year, each show becomes bigger, more brilliant and more professional than the previous one. Since being at Talent Time, I’ve earnt the roles of Lily St Regis in Annie, Tessie Tura in Gypsy, Lambchops in Fame and most recently Amber in Hairspray. Everyone is so supportive it’s like one big happy family. I worked with some amazing choreographers as well as making friends for life. Talent Time has been a massive part of my childhood, leaving me with unforgettable memories and the inspiration to be anything I want to be.
